On Monday, my car broke down.  Again.  I took it to the shop.  No worries.  Then, my scooter broke down.  They came and picked it up for a check up.  I thought, I’ll just ride my bike.  Then I realized the tires were not only flat, but had like no air in them.  And I couldn’t find a pump.  Geez.  After being stranded at my house for 3 days, my scooter was finally ready to go and so was I.  I put on a super cute outfit and hit the open road :)Have a great Friday!

Accounts receivable and payable.  Soon to be, anyway.  I’m super pumped about this.  Office supplies really get me excited :)

He’s is absolutely adorable.  It’s ridic.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Image via Wikipedia

I watch a lot of Law & Order SVU.  Like, a lot.  Today, I was working from home and the only thing on was L & O Criminal Intent, so I had to settle for that in the background (I love you Vincent, but you’re no Mariska).  Actually, an episode I’ve never seen came on the other day and it was awesome.

One of my life dreams is to be on the show.  Obviously, for this to happen, I will have to play a rape victim, which I can do.  I feel like my skill set fits this well.  Here are my reasons

why I will be so awesome:

She's hot. And has a gun. And she's a detective. Trifecta

  1. I can overact.
  2. I can play surprised…really, really well
  3. I can lie.  All of the victims on the show end up lying in some way or another.  Seriously.  I got plenty of practice lying about where I was and what I was doing there in high school.  I’m a pro.
  4. I can play sadistic.  To see why, refer to #3 (high school was an interesting time for me, remind me to tell you about it some time)
  5. Over emotional, dude…that is totally my bag.  I overdo every emotion anyway, why not get paid for it?

I had a lot more reasons the last time I was watching an SVU marathon.  Which was Sunday.  Because, what would a Sunday afternoon be without 5 straight hours of Elliot and Liv solving murders, suspecting child molesters and throwing punches at priests?  Boring, that’s what.

Day 24, Birthday Brunch with close and wonderful friends

Day 25 Caspian on his throne

This is a great place to work

One day I’m going to…

  • Feel apart of
  • Have a place
  • Have one kind of career
  • Be more confident
  • Find peace
  • Be flexible

I have always felt that there is going to come a day when I will arrive.  But, I’m reading this awesome book called When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron.  (It’s a really great book, Chodron is a Buddhist Monk)  The point is brought up that there is no day.  We never arrive.  Which was mind opening for me. I have always thought, “When I graduate from high school,”When I turn 25,” “When I graduate from college,” “When I get a real job…” and then the day gets here and I’m still the same person.  With the same hopes and goals and nothing magically changed because some monument I had been looking forward to passed.  I have to live every day and work for my goals and try to BE everyday, just as hard as I tried the day before.  While a realization like this is a little discouraging, it is encouraging, too.  Especially right now with everything.

He sits like a lady :). (unemployment is ugly, people)

Day 18

Day 19

Day 20

Here are some videos that were shared with me this weekend and I want to share them with you.

This is super inspiring and I hope you watch it.  I really want to get in touch with this guy.  Especially because I hate running so much and he is such an awesome inspiration.

Um, this one is just hilarious.

This is probably totally staged, but it’s also really funny.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who if you’re like me you have loved him since Angels in the Outfield, singing “Bad Romance.”

This isn’t a video, but this is the best urn ever.  Seriously.  I dare you to find a better one.
